  1. Choose a suitable shampoo for scalp health:

2This is the first step to treat the dryness of the scalp. Probably there is no one who doesn’t use shampoo or conditioner. But the thing is that when these two products are incompatible with your type of hair skin, these might leave your scalp to dry or too much moisture.

All of the products in the markets are not up to the mark and some might contain harsh chemical, fragrances or colors that can strip our scalp of natural oil and leave it dried.

So before it’s too late review your existing shampoo. Choose one formulated to moisturize your scalp and hair, such as a formula that includes tea tree leaf oil. This type of oil is very effective in cleaning many types of bacteria, viruses, and fungi.

The study showed that choosing any anti hair loss shampoo that contains at least 5% of any tree oil (like Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil) is effective to reduce 41% dandruff and related fungal from the scalp.

  1. Apply hair oil to scalp:

3After taking the shower, try to apply jojoba oils that will prevent your skin to become hydrated. Vitamin E is an amazing moisturizing property that can balance out scalp oil production and may help to stay moisturize the scalp for longer.

Oil like Jojoba and avocado contains lots of Vitamin E that helps to strengthen the skin’s barrier, preventing water loss and penetrate the layers of the scalps.

I start with the scalp and push my fingers towards the back and in between, I gently kneading or lifting the scalp with a firm and of course with a constant pressure. I do it for 15 to 20 minutes and most of the time I use oil.

Wondering what might be the benefit. A head massage can promote proper blood circulation in the scalp and helps the cells to become stronger.

Instead of massaging you can use a boar-bristle hairbrush that helps to distribute the oil you are using and worked to lift dirt and dead cells from hair.

  1. Take Care while washing your hair:

5Washing your hair in extremely hot water leaves them looking dry and lifeless. Though there is no proven research to say what temperature is perfect or preferable to wash, few studies have been found that washing with warm water at first and rinse off with cool one can bring more benefit.

When you wash your scalp with warm water, it helps to open hair cuticle and when applying cold water ensures the moisture and benefits remain seal. Warm water will wash away dead cells and dirt from the scalp.

Use a moisturizing shampoo perhaps with tea oil (as mentioned earlier), rinse it thoroughly and wash it. If you want to use conditioner apply it as mid-shaft downward towards the ends. You also can leave it by wrapping with towels for a few minutes.

  1. Don’t Scratch:

Normally the dry scalp can get itchy. And contentious itching can make you so annoyed that suddenly you might feel to get a comb or other object and start scratching it with your entire arm’s strength.

Getting that ‘right spot’ can feel like a huge relief, I know. But if you do so this, it might hurt your scalp further. However, a hot shower is another cause for which your scalp might start to itch. That’s another reason why you were suggested to use warm water.

So rather scratching, make a paste of curd and coconut oil and apply it on your scalp gently. Leave it for half an hour and rinse it with shampoo.
